Most of my exe files won't "execute"
I tried downloading the Malware. It appear to download to my PC fine. When I double click on the run icon from Startup, it goes to the hour glass and says it can't find the Malware...exe file. Would I like to look for it or have windows fine it?? I tried reloading it and it does the same thing. I downloaded Norton and when I try and run that it goes to the hour glass for a second and then does nothing.None of my icons or START menu come up on my desktop when I 1st boot. I have to open task mgr and run it ( new task>exeplorer.exe) from there so some of my exe files work.I opened the registry file ( regedit) and my exefile...says something like ping.exe"%11". When I chg it back to what its suppose to be and reboot it goes back to the ...ping.exe"%1.I have the Windows Police Pro virus and can seem to get rid of it. The Malware was the suggestions but I can't get that to run. I do have ntwrk access.I know..I know... I have a ton of viruses...malware...adware and whatever else these guys can put on your computer to make computing miserable but I need help.Should have stuck to acting.Clint1 person got this answerI do too

Here are instructions for removing Windows Police Pro: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-windows-police-pro You need to get any removal tools from a different, known-clean computer and put them on a USB key or burn to CD-R. If you need further help, you can register and post a HijackThis log in BleepingComputer's forum (not here, please). Otherwise take your computer to a competent local computer tech. This will not be a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum22.htmlMS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

Depending on how bad your computer is running.. or if the virus is really messing you up.. you may be able to run the MS Live OneCare.http://onecare.live.com/site/en-au/default.htm?mkt=en-auI've heard of a number of people being able to clean up issues that they were not able to find with other apps with this online tool.

Another option if you have friends that can download and burn a CD.. try the F-Secure rescue CD to scan your system:http://www.f-secure.com/linux-weblog/files/f-secure-rescue-cd-beta-3.10.22900.zipOtherwise, you always have the fall back of going into Safe Mode (F8 while booting) and trying to run a scan from there...Another download you may be able to run in Safe mode would be Microsoft Security Essentials.. http://www.microsoft.com/Security_essentials/
